The government is planning to launch a multi-year programme for the construction of 19 large retention reservoirs, which will cost 12 billion zlotys – as announced today by Deputy Infrastructure Minister Grzegorz Witkowski during the 9th Forum of Intermodal Transport Fracht
He added that this solution is expected to protect many farmers from drought and residents from flooding.
“What convinced us to do this? Racibórz reservoir, which received a flood wave last year. […] This reservoir saved Opole, Kędzierzyn, Wrocław,” Witkowski said
According to the Deputy Minister, this programme may become a great opportunity for Polish entrepreneurs, contractors, who could take part in these investments.
