During the XXX Economic Forum in Karpacz, the Award in the Company of the Year category was presented. The winner of the Award was KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. (KHGM Polish Cooper S.A.). Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin, while delivering the laudation, described KGHM as a pearl of the Polish economy, reminding that this company operates on three continents”.
Marcin Chludziński, President of the Management Board and the CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., while receiving the Award, noted that 34 000 KGHM employees are behind the company’s success.
“I am very happy that we are receiving this award here in Lower Silesia,” said the President of the Management Board and the CEO of the company – the laureate.
KGHM is engaged in the extraction and processing of valuable natural resources. It has production facilities in Poland and worldwide, including North and South America. The global copper resources controlled by KGHM guarantee the company the title of leader in the mining industry. The company is also a global champion in silver production. In total, it employs over 34,000 people.
