    Cultural events at the Digital Summit in Katowice

    Many interesting cultural events are planned during the UN Digital Summit – IGF 2021, which runs from 6 to 10 December. On Monday, in Katowice, a concert “Skrzydła umysłu” (“Wings of the mind”) will be broadcast by TVP.

    A gala concert by the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), which will inaugurate the UN Digital Summit – IGF 2021, will begin at 8:30 pm. The broadcast on TVP is scheduled for 9:00 pm. During the show, the repertoire representing Poland’s showcase in the world will be presented.

     

    The repertoire of the concert is based on compositions by Stanisław Moniuszko, Fryderyk Chopin, Krzysztof Penderecki, Wojciech Kilar, Jan Kaczmarek, Krzysztof Komeda and performances by Stanisław Soyka, Piotr Cugowski, Natalia Kukulska, Katarzyna Moś, Atom String Quartet, Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka, among others.

     

    The concert will also feature Cameroonian-born Richard Bona, a multi-instrumentalist and former member of the Pat Metheny Group. The artistic director of the concert is Adam Sztaba, a composer, pianist, arranger, conductor and music producer known for his ability to combine musical styles.

     

    On the second day of the summit, 7 December, a performance by Ingolf Wunder, an Austrian winner of the 16th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, is scheduled.

     

    On 8 December at 7 p.m. at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, the IGF 2021 Music Night will begin.
