Global sneaker and streetwear retailer SNIPES opens its Polish online store and thus officially enters the Central and Eastern European market. Following its successful acquisition of Distance S.A. last fall, SNIPES has also acquired 31 Polish retailer stores to open all of its important locations in the country. Rebranding has already begun. The first stores in Katowice, Opole, and Bielsko-Biała have already gained a new arrangement.
With a network of over 600 stores in Europe and the United States, SNIPES is one of the most important sneakers and streetwear retailers worldwide. The omnichannel company is deeply rooted in hip-hop culture and a community-oriented approach based on promoting and celebrating street culture. SNIPES has its roots in urban culture and is particularly involved in dance, hip-hop, and basketball.
“We are very happy to finally launch in Poland, so we can gain a foothold in Eastern Europe as well. Our unique assortment is an offer for the Polish community, which is not yet represented as a community in Eastern Europe. Our goal is to further develop Polish street culture,” Simon Bus, Head of Communications at SNIPES, said.
“The opening of our first online store in the CEE region marks the first milestone in our market entry strategy. We put a lot of emphasis on our digital business, so our clear goal is to significantly exceed the performance of the former Distance online store. We are very pleased with the launch and are now planning a timely deployment of our SNIPES application. Then we will also bring our loyalty program, SNIPES Clique, to Poland, which will allow us to be in even closer contact with our community,” Jeanine Schneider, Sr. Head of Digital SNIPES, said.
