Officially, the Pole will lead the world rankings on April 4, replacing Australian Ashleigh Barty, who ended her career and asked to be removed from the WTA list last week.
“With No.1 Ashleigh Barty’s retirement, the Australian will vacate the Hologic WTA Tour’s top spot in the next rankings cycle, which will take place on April 4 after the WTA 1000 event in Miami concludes,” WTA informed then.
