MUSTACHE FUNK – a documentary about 70’s Ukrainian folk-funk [VIDEO]

A real treat for lovers of music and the ’70s! A documentary called “Mustache Funk” presents the history of Ukrainian folk fun and can be seen in Warsaw this April. The entrance fees and donations will be used to support other projects and Klukva & Brukva café in Kyiv that serves about 800 free meals per day.

“The early 70s is a golden epoch of our popular music. Hundreds of songs of exquisite beauty. Groundbreaking sound. Futuristic suits. How and whence could all of this emerge in a Soviet socialist republic?! How did a brand new music scene, original in sound and philosophy in every way, and at the same time absolutely in sync with global music trends come forth? Signature music, in a nutshell!”, according to goingapp.pl.

The premiere of the film produced by Andrii Granytsia takes place in SPATiF Club Warsaw on April 14th at 7 p.m. The tickets can be bought on goingapp.pl website and mobile app.
