Tomorrow’s Good Friday. At 8 P.M. through the streets of Warsaw will march the Central Way of Cross. It will be led by the Warsaw Metropolitan Kazimierz Nycz and Ukrainian Greek-Catholic metropolitan Eugeniusz Popowicz. Together, they will pray in the intention of peace in Ukraine.
The Central Way of Cross is organized by the archdiocese of Warsaw since 1994. Usually, the wooden cross weighing over 100kg is carried by specific social groups. This year, at each station of the Way of the Cross one person from Ukraine, will join the people carrying the cross. During the march, Polish and Ukrainian chants will be sung to show solidarity with the country under attack. There will also be contemplations prepared by Wojciech and Agnieszka Amaro.
The procession will start on April 15th, at 8 P.M. from St. Anne’s Church in Warsaw. Later it will go through streets: Miodowa, Senatorska, Wierzbowa, Królewska and Krakowskie Przedmieście back to St. Anna’s Church. In the end, the Warsaw archbishop Kazimierz Nycz will conduct a lecture to the gathered believers.
