Monuments to the Red Army in Poland were demolished! [VIDEO]

Let’s remove the Symbols of Communism in the Public Space of Poland! Today, three monuments dedicated to the Red Army are being demolished – in Siedlec, Międzybłocie in Wielkopolskie Voivodeship and Garncarsko in Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

“In the public space of a free, independent and democratic Poland there is no place for monuments with a red star. This symbol conceals the crimes of the communist system,” the President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) dr Karol Nawrocki during the dismantling of the monument to the Red Army in Chrzowice on March 23.

The President of the IPN also called for increased efforts to remove “all names and symbols that still recall persons, organisations, events or dates that symbolise communism” from public space.

“It is high time to catch up in this area,” he insisted.

Today, another symbol of the Soviets disappeared. In Siedlec in Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, another monument od Red Army has been demolished.
