    Barcelona offers €32mln for Lewandowski

Barcelona’s first official offer for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski is €32 million, according to Bild am Sonntag.

This is less than the previously speculated sum that would satisfy the German champion. Catalan newspaper Sport, among others, predicted that Bayern could agree to a transfer for 35-40 million euros.

Chosen in a FIFA poll as the best footballer in the world in 2020 and 2021, the Pole announced after the last match of the Bundesliga season that he would not extend his contract with Bayern, whose colours he has represented for eight years and which expires next year. He has also not ruled out leaving the club this summer yet, as that is the last moment the German side can receive a transfer fee for him.

The official stance of the Bavarian club is that there is no consent for the transfer. Both Bayern’s head of the club, Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic are against Lewandowski’s departure.

“Robert Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and will fill it,” Kahn confirmed in “Welt am Sonntag”.

Earlier, the media reported that Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi had already reached an agreement with the Spanish club on the footballer’s contract.

The Polish national team captain won eight German championships with Bayern and added two more with Borussia Dortmund. In total, he was Bundesliga’s top scorer seven times, in which he scored 312 goals in 384 appearances. In 2020, he triumphed with Bayern in the Champions League.
