A deal for Robert Lewandowski’s transfer to FC Barcelona is still possible. The Catalans are preparing a third buyout offer for the Pole from Bayern Munich.
Robert Lewandowski has definitely announced his desire to leave Bayern Munich already this summer. The owners of the Bavarian club, however, in official statements assure that the footballer will have to fulfil the contract valid until June 2023, but their position may ultimately prove to be more flexible.
Barcelona has already made two offers to Bayern for the Polish striker, but not even €40 million (with bonuses) has so far convinced the Bundesliga champions to part with the 33-year-old. According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, Barca is already preparing a third offer for Lewandowski.
This time, the potential transfer sum – after taking into account additional payments depending on various variables – is already expected to be close to €50 million. It is unofficially said that such an amount would make Bayern agree to the transfer of the captain of the White and Reds to Catalonia. Coach Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly working out tactical options that would see Lewandowski replaced by Sadio Mane in the Bavarians’ attack.
