“We have to catch up with the Americans all the time and only now are we starting to hope to be ahead of them,” Anna Kiełbasińska, Olympic vice-champion in the women’s 4x400m relay, said. The Poles will fight for a medal at the Athletics World Championships in Eugene in the 4x400m relay on Friday.
The Polish mixed relay team shocked the world at the Tokyo Olympics a year ago and won the gold medal in magnificent style. In Eugene, the preliminaries and final of this competition will take place on the first day of the competition – Friday.
“I’m feeling good. (…) We start competing on the very first day. We don’t even have time to sit and wait for the start. We’ll see what it’s like straight away,” said Kiełbasińska.
