A dangerous fire broke out today in the ‘Total’ refinery in Northern France. The company is one of the five largest facilities of this type in the country.
The fire broke out at 4 am in the ‘Total’ refinery in France. The firefighters started to put out fire at 4.10. The fire is currently in its final phase of liquidation. The prefecture informed that preliminary air quality measurements were carried out and showed no contamination. The company’s authorities said that there were no victims and everybody is safe. They also added that the estimation of possible after-effects of the fire is underway. The ‘Total’ company produces petroleum products and polymers and hires an estimated 1500 people.
