On Tuesday, President Andrzej Duda stated that the most important objective of their actions is to ensure the safety, peace, and prosperity of their fellow citizens. Speaking at the Third 3Seas Local Government Congress in Lublin, he emphasized that this goal is highly anticipated and valued by those who elected them.
“It is my great pleasure to be here with you in Lublin to inaugurate the Third Three Seas Local Government Congress. Over the past years, this event has become a crucial platform for exchanging experiences and discussing regional cooperation in our part of Europe,”
said the president on Tuesday during the opening of the congress.
He also recalled the first edition of the congress, which took place in 2021.
“The meeting was organized during a challenging period of the pandemic for all of us. However, today’s Third 3Seas Local Government Congress seems to be held under different, possibly even more difficult circumstances. We are only 100 kilometres away from the Polish-Ukrainian border. Ukraine, which fell victim to brutal Russian aggression a year and three months ago. That is why security is the main topic of virtually all our meetings today,”
emphasized the president.
President Duda pointed out that security is currently being discussed in various forums.
“Security is being discussed everywhere. As elected representatives through democratic elections, we all share a deep conviction that ensuring the safety, peace, and maximum possible prosperity of our fellow citizens is our paramount role. There is no doubt that this is our most important task, expected by those who elected us,”
