    Poland: Over 58 Million COVID-19 Vaccines Given

    Poland has administered a total of 58,011,190 vaccine doses since the start of its COVID-19 vaccination campaign on December 27, 2020, according to recent data from government sources. In the last 24 hours, 129 people received their vaccinations, with the highest number recorded in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, totaling 33 individuals.


    To date, 18,611 adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines have been reported, while maintaining an overall favorable safety profile.

    Starting from September 16, 2022, individuals aged 12 and above became eligible to receive the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, booster shots for children aged 5-11 were made available on October 3, 2022. Furthermore, vaccinations for children aged six months to four years began on December 12, 2022.

    On April 15, e-referrals were issued for the fifth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, targeting 1.7 million eligible individuals. Those who qualify for the fifth dose include individuals who received their second dose between April and September 2022, individuals aged 60 and above, individuals with weakened immune systems, and healthcare workers. These booster shots will use updated formulations to combat the Omicron subvariants.
