The 2nd edition of the Małopolski Music Festival “Music in Monuments” will take place from August 12 to September 10, 2023. The festival features a series of classical music concerts and accompanying lectures held in various historical landmarks throughout the Małopolskie Voivodeship.
Presevation of Cultural Heritage
The festival’s unique appeal lies in its fusion of classical music performances with lectures on heritage conservation. Dr. Waldemar Komorowski and other experts will share insights on the significance of these monuments and their proper preservation.
An International Showcase
The festival promises a diverse repertoire performed by renowned artists, including the ArmoniEnsemble Piano Trio from Italy and Polish talents like Piotr Lempa and Magdalena Kulig. Audiences will be treated to classical pieces with cultural significance for Poland and Europe.
Connecting Culture to Communities
By bringing live cultural experiences to representative heritage sites, the festival aims to increase accessibility to arts and culture, especially in smaller communities at risk of cultural exclusion
Incredible Venues
The concerts and lectures will grace remarkable locations such as the Evangelical Zbor in Sądecki Ethnographic Park, the Historic Church in Polanka Wielka, St. Bartholomew’s Church in Zbyszyce, Basilica of St. Mary Magdalene and St. Stanislaus in Szczepanów, Wodzicki Palace in Igołomia, and the Church of Our Lady and St. Jacob in Brzesko.
