Two Polish men lost their lives following a diving accident near the coast of Malta on Saturday. The incident took place in the Marsascala area, as reported by the “Times of Malta.” The divers were part of a group from a diving school exploring the wreck of Le Polynesien, a World War I shipwreck resting at a depth of 50 meters.
Attempts to Rescue
The tragedy unfolded when the 45-year-old man encountered difficulties underwater. A 48-year-old fellow diver attempted to assist him. An alarm was raised, and both men were swiftly transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the 45-year-old was pronounced dead upon arrival, and the 48-year-old passed away shortly after.
