Cosmic Wonders Unveiled at Szczecin Space Festival

Szczecin Space Festival offers stargazing, workshops, and NASA’s 24-hour hackathon, making science engaging for all this October.

The Szczecin Space Festival brings the universe to life this October with a range of cosmic-themed events. Organized by the “Iskry Nauki” Association, this free festival includes 14 diverse activities, from workshops and film screenings to stargazing sessions at the West Pomeranian University of Technology’s observatory. Families can enjoy creative sessions like board games and collage-making, while adults can indulge in science talks over drinks or watch Interstellar under the stars.

    NASA Space Apps Challenge

A highlight of the festival is the NASA Space Apps Challenge, a 24-hour hackathon on October 5-6. Teams from different fields will work to solve challenges related to space exploration, climate change, and environmental pollution. Participants will compete to create innovative solutions within a short time frame, with creativity and presentation skills playing a key role.

    Inspiring Science Outreach

“Iskry Nauki,” founded in April, is dedicated to making science accessible and exciting for all. Through events like this festival, they aim to show that science is both fascinating and easy to grasp.
