    Katowice Becomes the Global Capital of Blues at Rawa Blues Festival

    Rawa Blues Festival in Katowice, the world’s largest indoor blues event, celebrates 42 years with iconic performances and family-friendly activities.

    On Saturday, Katowice hosted the 42nd edition of the Rawa Blues Festival, the world’s largest indoor blues event. The headliner of this year’s show was “Blood Brothers,” featuring blues icons Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia. The festival’s founder, Ireneusz Dudek, celebrated 40 years of his artistic project, Shakin’ Dudi, known for iconic hits like “Och Ziuta” and “Au sza la la.”

    A Celebration of Polish Blues Legends

    The concert featured performances from some of Poland’s top musicians, including Jan Borysewicz, Paulina Przybysz, and Grzegorz Kapołka. The event welcomed nearly 4,000 attendees and offered free entry for children, who enjoyed special activities like painting bags with Shakin’ Dudi’s image. The Rawa Blues Festival is widely recognized for its contribution to blues culture, earning international acclaim from The Blues Foundation.
