InPost Finalizes Acquisition of British Logistics Giant

Polish logistics company InPost is on the verge of completing its full acquisition of the British firm ć, according to a report from Sky News on Monday. InPost, founded by Polish entrepreneur Rafał Brzoska, is set to finalize the deal this week.

The acquisition will give InPost a 70% stake in Menzies Distribution Group, following its earlier purchase of a 30% share in July of last year for over €58 million (£49.3 million). With the latest move, InPost will fully control the British logistics company.

The July 2023 deal included a clause that allowed InPost the opportunity to acquire Menzies over the next three years fully, a step the company is now taking.

Despite operating in several markets, InPost generates the majority of its profits in Poland and is publicly traded on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. The company, which specializes in the installation and operation of parcel lockers, is regarded as one of the most successful in its sector across Europe.

InPost’s market value has surged by approximately $9 billion in the past year, driven by the increasing demand for e-commerce and courier services, according to Sky News.
