Residents of the town of Jabłonna, near Legionowo, were shaken on Wednesday after an aggressive individual confronted police officers with a pitchfork, forcing them to fire warning shots before ultimately shooting the man in the legs.
According to the local police, officers were called to an address on Parkowa Street in response to reports of a violent man threatening others. Despite multiple requests to stand down, the suspect remained defiant and allegedly charged at the officers with a pitchfork.
Initial attempts to subdue him—first using pepper spray and then a Taser—proved ineffective. One officer fired a warning shot, but when the suspect refused to back down, two additional shots were fired, striking him in the legs. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators, overseen by a prosecutor, continue to gather evidence at the scene. Further details regarding the man’s condition and any potential charges have not yet been released.
