    Scholarships for over 600 young people of Polish origin from all over the world

    More than 600 young people of Polish origin from all over the world will receive scholarships within the framework of the gen. Anders Programme for Polish Diaspora for undergraduate and graduate studies – informed the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) on Tuesday.

    According to the communiqué sent to PAP (Polish Press Agency), in the upcoming academic year, the scholarship holders will begin studies at Polish universities or will attend preparatory courses.

     

    Scholarship program for Polonia named after Gen. Anders is addressed to young people of Polish origin and holders of the Card of the Pole. Thanks to it, they can study at Polish universities in the Polish language. According to NAWA information, this year, within the recruitment process for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies, applications could also be submitted by people who are Polish citizens and at the same time citizens of another country, who were learning abroad during their entire secondary education.

     

    “The gen. Anders Programme plays an important role in maintaining the ties between our compatriots dispersed around the world and Poland. For young Poles, it is a chance to return to their homeland, an opportunity to learn more about the culture and history of their ancestors. Joining the group of NAWA Scholars it is also an opportunity to choose a course of study at the best Polish universities,” said Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek, quoted in the press release.
