Krakow and Warsaw. On Saturday, September 11, these cities hosted the audience of the 4th Congress of the Patriotism Academy. The guests of the convention were journalists, among others journalist Jacek Liziniewicz, D.Sc Klaudia Cymanow-Sosin, and Piotr Wasilewski.
A pleasant surprise awaited the listeners of the Warsaw group at the beginning of the congress. Together with the participants of the Local Government Academy, at the special invitations of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk, they visited the seat of his ministry. On this occasion, they had an interesting and fruitful discussion with him about the involvement of young people in public life in the context of international issues.
The congress itself this time was devoted mainly to two issues. The meeting with Jacek Liziniewicz focused on issues related to ecology and environmental protection. The audience learned how to effectively fight for a better tomorrow for our planet, how to communicate in this regard, and what adversities should be reckoned with in this regard.
The second lecturer was a well-known youth activist, Piotr Wasilewski, whose lecture “Contemporary patriotism – directions and realities” inspired young people to a long and lively discussion on this very topic. It is also worth emphasizing that the Krakow Group, during its congress, in cooperation with DSc Klaudia Cymanow-Sosin from the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, developed competencies in the field of crisis management and negotiation techniques. The students liked the practical advice, training, and workshop form of the classes, and they will probably be continued soon.
The September congress is the fourth of the six planned conventions of the Academy. The project is aimed at pupils and students. Participation in it is completely free, and several dozen people from all over the country take part in it.
The organizer of the Academy is the Władysław Grabski Center Foundation and a strategic partner is KGHM Polska Miedź SA.
