Following the police’s absurd statement, more and more questions are emerging about the attacks on TV Republika and its employees. A previously detained 53-year-old, who was supposed to be a suspect, turned out to be… a victim. The police now report a large-scale and coordinated operation, with traces leading beyond Poland’s borders, and are also examining an eastern angle. Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, is writing on social media about… conspiracy theories.
For several days, coordinated attacks have been targeting TV Republika and its staff, while the services under Donald Tusk have still been unable to identify the perpetrators.
In a Sunday statement, the police have significantly changed their narrative, describing the attack as coordinated and well-prepared.
“The proceedings are ongoing. Officers of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters, with the support of specialists from the Central Cybercrime Bureau, the Central Bureau of Investigation, and in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing intensive efforts to identify and detain those responsible for organizing and distributing false alarms. The evidence indicates large-scale activities that required proper planning and time coordination.”
It was also acknowledged that certain threads of the case lead beyond the country’s borders, and the so-called eastern angle is also being investigated.
Meanwhile, the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, who oversees the services, is downplaying the attacks and writing about… conspiracy theories.
“The police are working to expose those responsible for spreading false alarms. This matter requires cooperation from all parties involved. Unfortunately, there are those who, instead of cooperating with the police, spread conspiracy theories. They do so to achieve political benefits”, he wrote on X.
This post was firmly responded to by the CEO of TV Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz:
“You should be the first to be questioned in this case”, he stressed.
