Another scandal – relative of Civic Coalition senator receives medical procedure out of turn

A relative of a Civic Coalition (KO) senator was reportedly admitted for a medical procedure bypassing standard procedures. The case concerns the district hospital in Aleksandrów Kujawski. According to Wirtualna Polska, the patient was allegedly admitted outside the official queue and without full registration in the system.

The portal does not disclose who exactly the person is or what type of procedure was performed. The outlet cites personal data protection rules and the protection of information on the patient’s health condition. However, the patient is said to be a relative of Tomasz Lenz of the Civic Coalition (KO). The politician has not responded to the allegations. Instead, he reportedly forbade the editorial team from collecting information on the matter, threatening legal action.

According to the portal, such practices may indicate the existence of informal mechanisms enabling privileged access to services within the public healthcare system.

The head of the facility, Mariusz Trojanowski, admitted that the disclosed procedure cannot be settled under the National Health Fund (NFZ) and is wondering who will cover the costs. An explanatory investigation has been launched at the hospital.
