The record-breaking American music band Black Eyed Peas will perform during Sylwester Marzeń (the New Year’s Eve of Dreams in Zakopane). The musicians from the USA will perform their greatest hits on the Zakopane stage, including “Where Is the Love?” and “I Gotta Feeling”. Together with Sara James, with whom they recently met in the final of ‘America’s Got Talent’, they will sing the hit ‘Let’s Get It Started’, reads the TVP Info portal.
On Friday, it was announced that the star of the New Year’s Eve party at Giewont will be one of the most sought-after groups of all time – the Black Eyed Peas, who have over 80 million albums sold.
Their first big hit – 2003’s “Where Is the Love?” – topped the charts in 13 countries. The single ‘Let’s Get It Started’ from that album won a Grammy Award and the song ‘Hey Mama’ was featured in the first iPod TV commercial.
The group is currently co-founded by three musicians: American rapper and singer Jaime Luis “Taboo” Gomez, b-boy, rapper, music producer and drummer Apl.de.ap (Allen Pineda Lindo), and rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist Will.i.am (William James Adams).
