“Do not be fooled. An operation to erase memory has begun in Civic Platform. Dawid Kacprzyk was not some anonymous activist; he was Platform’s golden boy, a leader of the party’s youth wing, promoted and shown alongside the most senior Civic Platform politicians,” stated a video published by Mateusz Morawiecki of Law and Justice (PiS).
The Civic Coalition hospital scandal
Shortly after the scandal broke, Civic Coalition politicians denied that an informal “VIP lounge” had operated at Warsaw’s Southern Hospital, giving selected individuals faster access to diagnostics and medical care. The situation changed after Piotr Nisztor published new materials on TV Republika.
The disclosed documents clearly show that leading representatives of the ruling party had previously been informed about the irregularities. Instead of providing a substantive explanation as to who had benefited from the privileged pathway and under what rules it operated, Civic Coalition politicians began attacking the whistleblower who had raised the alarm about the misconduct.
“Do not be fooled”
PiS MP Mateusz Morawiecki published a video on social media stressing that Tusk’s party had launched an operation to “erase memory.” The video recalled a statement made by Bartosz Arłukowicz: “I do not know Dr Kacprzyk. I have no idea who he is.”
“Do not be fooled. An operation to erase memory has begun in Civic Platform. Dawid Kacprzyk was not some anonymous activist; he was Platform’s golden boy, a leader of the party’s youth wing, promoted and shown alongside the most senior Civic Platform politicians. Election campaigns, conferences, party meetings; everywhere, he appeared next to the most recognizable faces of Civic Platform. And today, suddenly, they do not know who he is,”
the video says.
At the end of the recording, an appeal is made: “Do not let yourselves be deceived. They knew him very well.”
