Civic Platform MP explains hospital examination without queue: “I asked a colleague”

Małgorzata Pępek (Civic Platform, KO) spoke about a no-queue examination at a hospital in Żywiec. She confirmed that a colleague signed her up for the test and that it turned out that a slot for Saturday had “just become available”. “Somewhat irresponsible behaviour, I did not want to offend anyone,” she commented on what happened later.

How does Małgorzata Pępek explain it? The KO politician speaks out and… confirms the findings of zero.pl, complaining that a “campaign of harassment” is being conducted against her.

“I simply made an appointment for a gastroscopy because my family doctor issued a referral and I wanted to have the examination done. I asked a colleague who works at the hospital so I would not have to go there and register, to register me. She did it, I was waiting in the queue. And then I received a phone call that a slot had become available, someone had cancelled, and I was to come on Saturday for the examination. I came for the examination and had the gastroscopy,” said MP Pępek in an interview with Polsat News.

“On Monday, unpleasant things suddenly started happening. My colleague was summoned to the director’s office, and the director threatened to fire her. The women working at the registration desk also faced unpleasant consequences. Somewhat irresponsible behaviour, I did not want to offend anyone. I did not want to cause any problems for anyone. I came politely and that was it,” added the KO politician.
