“You are robbing Poland, Polish hospitals, driving them into ruin, shutting them down. You are paying for wards to be closed, not for patients to be treated. Pass, together with us, a withdrawal from the ETS and lower electricity prices also for hospitals. Can you do that? Do not fear von der Leyen – fear the Polish people,” with these words, Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, an MP from Law and Justice (PiS), addressed representatives of the December 13 coalition.
In his parliamentary speech, the politician pointed to the dramatic situation of Poland’s healthcare system under the rule of the December 13 coalition.
“One cannot simply ignore something that has never happened in Poland before. PLN 54 million – this is the amount that the National Health Fund has withheld and now refuses to pay to the provincial hospital in Szalej Kraśnickiej near Lublin. PLN 5 million – the amount that the National Health Fund has withheld – meaning you, the government of Donald Tusk, the government of Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Lublin oncology center – and now you refuse to pay it,” Czarnek said.
He added that “PLN 10 million – this is the amount you do not want to pay to the county hospital in Janów Lubelski, and also in Łuków.”
“You are robbing Poland, Polish hospitals, driving them into ruin, shutting them down. You are paying for wards to be closed, not for patients to be treated. If you cannot find the money for this, then at least help in one thing – pass, together with us, a withdrawal from the ETS and lower electricity prices also for hospitals. Can you do that? Do not fear Ursula von der Leyen – fear the Polish people,” Czarnek appealed to coalition politicians.
