Donald Tusk Courted Journalists, Then Got Mocked as They Recalled Private Meeting Details

Journalists Szymon Jadczak and Patryk Słowik briefly described the behind-the-scenes details of a meeting they held with Donald Tusk. They mentioned how the politician apologized to them for the “hate from Giertych’s sect”; they also mocked how much the word given by Tusk is actually worth.

The story of the meeting was recounted in the margins of other reports. The discussion was triggered by a publication from the website jawnylublin.pl. A local journalist described the story of suburban councillor Magdalena Szczygieł-Mitrus, a councillor from the club of mayor Krzysztof Żuk, who one month after leaving Polska 2050 Party and joining Centrum Polska received a seat on the supervisory board of the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Lublin.

Journalists from Wirtualna Polska reacted to the reports. “How does Civic Platform (KO) differ from Law and Justice (PiS)?” Szymon Jadczak wrote, unexpectedly receiving a reply from the prime minister.

“We do not finance WP from the Justice Fund,” Donald Tusk replied.

Jadczak and Patryk Słowik, a journalist formerly associated with WP, reacted to the head of government’s jab. Both recalled the previously unknown details of a meeting to which Tusk had invited them. Both Jadczak and Słowik took a swipe at him.

“Today the approval ratings are high, so the little ass is feeling better. But when the ratings drop, he will apologize again and ingratiate himself with journalists. We’ll wait :)” Jadczak mocked.

Słowik joked about how much Tusk’s word is worth:
