Edward Linde-Lubaszenko, Renowned Old Theatre Actor and Teacher, Dies at 86

On Sunday, the family of the actor announced the death of the distinguished actor and teacher Edward Linde-Lubaszenko. Since 1973, Linde-Lubaszenko had been associated with the Old Theatre in Kraków, appearing in over 70 films, more than 110 stage productions, and over 80 performances for Television Theatre.

Alongside his artistic work, he was active in education. For many years, he lectured at the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts, where he also served as Dean of the Acting Faculty. In 1991, he received a professorial appointment.

In recognition of his contributions to culture, Edward Linde-Lubaszenko was awarded the Golden Gloria Artis Cross in 2024.
