The deputy chairwoman of the Civic Platform (KO) club of councillors in Warsaw announced that Dawid Kacprzyk has resigned from his mandate as a district councillor in Ursus. This is the result of the publicity surrounding the scandal at the Southern Hospital and the “VIP lounge” organized by this young doctor for politicians of the party he was a member of. However, his problems do not end there.
According to media reports, the young doctor without a specialization, Dawid Kacprzyk, coordinated the emergency department (SOR) at the Southern Hospital, where he organized an accelerated admission pathway as well as a “VIP lounge” for Civic Platform (KO) politicians. The scandal surrounding Kacprzyk broke out after the doctor, who was also a district councillor, published his asset declaration, which showed annual earnings of 1.6 million PLN.
After the scandal broke, Kacprzyk first resigned from party membership. Following further media reports, he was allegedly dismissed from his job at the Southern Hospital.
These were not the only medical facilities in Warsaw, dependent on the city and regional authorities, with which he cooperated.
Kacprzyk took the next step. Anna Auksel-Sekutowicz, deputy chairwoman of the Civic Platform (KO) councillors’ club in the Warsaw City Council, announced that Dawid Kacprzyk has resigned from his position as district councillor in Ursus. The doctor was to submit his resignation in writing to the chair of the district council.
This is not the end of his troubles
The Warsaw City Hall announced on Thursday that the doctor, Dawid Kacprzyk, returned part of the money paid to him by the hospital. According to the City Hall, since 15 June, Dawid Kacprzyk has corrected 33 invoices covering the period from 31 January 2025 to 16 June 2026. He returned 0.5 million PLN to the hospital’s account.
The Southern Hospital has filed a notification with the prosecutor’s office regarding suspected fraud. On Thursday, the Supervisory Board is to decide on changes in the hospital’s management.
The president of the District Medical Chamber in Warsaw, Dr. Artur Drobniak, stated that Kacprzyk submitted a request to suspend his membership rights in the chamber until the completion of proceedings by the Supreme Medical Chamber’s disciplinary officer. “The request will be considered at the Council on 1 July,” Dr. Drobniak said.
The Supreme Medical Chamber reacted to the reports concerning Kacprzyk. On Monday, it filed a notification with the disciplinary officer regarding his case. The allegation concerns leaving a medical duty shift. Media reports indicate that the doctor’s schedule overlapped with his appearances on TVP and in the Senate.
