    FIS U23 World Ski Championships: Izabela Marcisz won silver in 10km Freestyle

    The Polish athlete Izabela Marcisz won the silver medal in the 10-kilometer freestyle race at U23 World Ski Championships in Whistler, Canada.

    Marcisz was very close to winning the gold medal, but she was just one second too slow and the German representative Helen Hoffmann took the win. Marcisz crossed the finish line with a time of 26:13. The third place on the podium was taken by the Norwegian skater Margrethe Bergane.

    It was her 5 medal won at the championships and second in the U23 category.

    “I couldn’t bring such a photo from Beijing, so at least I will have it from Whistler. You can feel the Olympic climate in every corner of this route. So, you have to fight at FIS U23 World Ski Championships, I will see the rivals from Beijing on the starting list for sure.”
