“Please hold your horses as it harms Ukraine and our relations,” was the way Przemysław Czarnek, a Law and Justice (PiS) party MP, addressed the head of the Ukrainian government, Denys Shmyhal.
On Friday, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal threatened Poland that if the issue of unblocking the border is not resolved by March 28, his country may apply retaliatory measures at border crossings.
In response to this, the strong words came from the former Minister of Education and Science, and now a Law and Justice party MP, Przemysław Czarnek.
“Mr. @Denys_Shmyhal, as part of retaliatory measures, why don’t you repay us the billions for educating hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children in Polish schools? Or maybe the billions for military aid?” – started his post on the X platform, the PiS politician.
However, he added that Poles do not want these funds returned because they understand that the help provided to Ukraine was our human and Christian duty. “The same as defending Polish, healthy, truly ecological agriculture, protecting Polish consumers from products harmful to health,” he added.
Concluding, Czarnek emphasized: “Therefore, please hold your horses, as it harms Ukraine and our relations.”
