“This is a cuckoo’s egg from the German government, which— with the consent of the current Polish authorities— has just been opened and will, in four weeks, begin sending the first transports of illegal migrants to Poland,” said Mateusz Morawiecki, a Member of Parliament from the Law and Justice party (PiS), referring to the migrant center established by Germany near the Polish border.
German migrant center near the Polish border
Mateusz Morawiecki published a video on the platform X, in which he commented on the migrant center being constructed by the Germans just across the border from Poland.
“Have you heard about the migrant center just beyond our western border? It is a cuckoo’s egg from the German government, which— with the consent of the current authorities— has just been opened and will, in four weeks, begin sending to Poland the first transports of illegal migrants,”
he said.
He added that “in the first instance, this concerns those who supposedly applied for asylum in Poland before traveling to Germany.”
“We must be extremely vigilant on this matter,”
he urged.
Germany openly acknowledges the return of migrants to Poland
Representatives of the German government have openly admitted that migrants from the center will be sent to Poland.
“All migrants will be gathered in one central location. Thanks to the proximity of the Polish border, they can be quickly sent back there,”
said Katrin Lange, Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg (SPD).
Meanwhile, Germany’s Federal Minister of the Interior, Nancy Faeser, directly stated that “due to Brandenburg’s strong relations with neighboring voivodeships in Poland, the central focus of the center in Eisenhüttenstadt will be the transfer of migrants to Poland.”
