    Hubert Hurkacz Triumphs in a Thrilling Five-Set Battle at the French Open

    It was a real thriller. Hubert Hurkacz – after an encounter full of twists and turns – won against Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 6:3, 5:7, 6:7, 7:6, 6:4 and advanced to the third round of the Grand Slam French Open.

    In the first set, the Pole dominated the match, breaking his opponent’s serve twice to secure a 6-3 victory. The second set was much more thrilling, with both players exchanging blows and the score tied at 5-5. However, Griekspoor managed to hold his serve and then broke the Pole to win the set 7-5.

    The third set followed a similar pattern, with both players holding their serves and the score reaching 6-6. In the tie-break, Griekspoor initially took the lead, but the Pole fought back and won four consecutive points, coming close to winning the set. However, Griekspoor showed composure and won the tie-break 15-13, taking the set 7-6.

    The fourth set also went to a tie-break, with Hurkacz facing a tough situation when Griekspoor served for the win. However, the Pole broke his opponent and won the tie-break 7-5, closing the set with an ace. In the fifth and deciding set, Hurkacz maintained his momentum and broke Griekspoor in the ninth game, eventually winning the set 6-4 and advancing to the third round of the French Open.
