In a captivating display of skill and determination, Świątek defeated Petra Martić in straight sets, while Hurkacz showcased his powerful serve to overcome Lorenzo Musetti. 

    Iga Świątek Masters Grass to Defeat Petra Martić

    Iga Świątek, the World No.1, showcased her adaptability and skill on the grass courts of Wimbledon as she outplayed Petra Martić, the 29th-ranked Croatian player. The match unfolded in two sets, with Świątek emerging victorious at 6-2, 7-5.

    From the outset, it was clear that the first set belonged to the Polish tennis player. Świątek seized control early on, breaking Martić’s serve three times, a feat made even more impressive given Martić’s reputation for her strong serve. In the second set, Martić raised her game, improving her serve quality. Despite facing a tougher challenge, Świątek managed to break her opponent in the seventh game. However, a brief lapse in concentration allowed Martić to equalize. Unfazed, Świątek regained her composure, quickly turned the tide, and ultimately secured a well-deserved victory.

    Iga Świątek’s next opponent in the 4th round will be Belinda Bencic, the Swiss player.

    In an enthralling clash against Italian player Lorenzo Musetti, Hubert Hurkacz showcased his prowess on the court, particularly with his impeccable serve. The Polish tennis player claimed a convincing victory in straight sets, prevailing at 7-6, 6-4, 6-4.

    The first set was evenly contested, with both players displaying exceptional serving skills. As the set approached its conclusion, Musetti’s nerves started to show, leading to several double faults on his own serve. It was Hurkacz who maintained composure during the tie-break, emerging victorious with a score of 7-1. In the second set, Hurkacz capitalized on Musetti’s mistakes, securing a crucial break to establish control. With his serve remaining dominant, Hurkacz comfortably closed out the set at 6-4. The third set witnessed a strong start from the Polish player, who broke his opponent in the opening game. Despite facing pressure at 5-4, Hurkacz held his nerve, denying Musetti three break-points.     Magda Linette’s Battle Against Belinda Bencic Ends in Wimbledon Defeat

    Today also Magda Linette faced a formidable challenge at Wimbledon as she went up against Olympic champion Belinda Bencic. Despite her best efforts, Linette couldn’t match Bencic’s exceptional skills on the court. The Polish tennis player bowed out of the tournament after a 3-6, 1-6 defeat to the Swiss powerhouse in the third round of the Grand Slam event.
