The Australian Open provides plenty of excitement not only for the fans but also for the players. Iga Swiatek defeated Colombian Camila Osorio in the second round and confidently advanced to the third round.

Iga Swiatek has advanced to the third round of the Australian Open. The World No.1, in the first match of her career against Camila Osorio, confidently won 6:2, 6:3. The Colombian had huge problems holding her serve, which forced her to acknowledge the superiority of the Pole.

From the opening balls, it was clear that the Colombian would want to take maximum risks. Unfortunately for her, most of the time she didn’t do so well, because when she tried to send the ball faster, it landed on the net or out of play. Iga used her strengths and confidently won the first game 6:2.

The second set ultimately differed little from the first. As it turned out, Osorio, despite her strenuous efforts, was unable to make up for the loss and the ranking leader eventually won 6:3.

The next opponent for the Pole will be Bianca Andreescu or Cristina Bucsa.

    Iga Swiatek – Camilie Osorio 2:0 (6-2, 6-3)
