Independence March to Legally Pass Through Warsaw: “Very Good News”

Warsaw authorities grant legal status to the Independence March after a legal dispute over its route.

The Independence March, scheduled for November 11, will now proceed legally through Warsaw. The march, organized by the Association of Independence March, has been officially listed as a legal assembly by the Warsaw city office. Bartosz Malewski, the association’s president, announced the positive development on social media, confirming the march’s traditional route from the Roman Dmowski Roundabout to the National Stadium.

Previous Permit Denial and Legal Dispute

Earlier, Warsaw authorities had denied the march’s permit, sparking a legal battle over the right to organize the event on its usual route. However, the latest update confirms the march’s official registration, marking a resolution to the conflict. Monika Beuth, a spokesperson for Warsaw City Hall, verified the legal status of the gathering.

The march, held annually on Polish Independence Day, is expected to draw thousands of participants, celebrating the nation’s history and sovereignty.
