“The Ukrainian and U.S. delegations have reached an understanding on the conditions of a peace agreement; Kyiv hopes that President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump will meet later in November,” said Rustem Umerov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
“We appreciate the productive and constructive meetings in Geneva between the Ukrainian and American delegations, as well as President Trump’s unwavering efforts aimed at ending the war. Our delegations reached a shared understanding of the key conditions discussed in Geneva. We now count on the support of our European partners in the next steps,”

The politician, who took part in the Geneva talks, emphasized that President Zelensky’s visit to the United States is now expected.
“We are awaiting the organization of the President of Ukraine’s visit to the USA at the earliest possible date in November, in order to finalize the last stages and reach an agreement with President Trump,” Umerov explained. The Trump administration presented Zelensky last week with a 28-point peace plan and pressed him to accept it no later than Thursday.
