    Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Polish defender Jakub Kiwior has made history by becoming the sixth Polish player to score a goal in the Premier League. Kiwior, making his debut for Arsenal, found the back of the net in the 79th minute against Wolverhampton Wanderers, sealing a comfortable 5-0 victory for his team.

Kiwior, representing the Polish national team, scored his first goal in English football during a goalmouth scramble from a set piece, capitalizing on a pass from Emil Smith-Rowe. This milestone goal came in his seventh appearance for the Gunners this season.

Prior to Kiwior, five other Polish players had scored in official Premier League matches: Robert Warzycha, Marcin Wasilewski, Jan Bednarek, Matty Cash, and Mateusz Klich. Kiwior’s goal in the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers concluded the scoring at 5-0.

Arsenal took an early lead with two goals from Granit Xhaka, who has been linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen. Bukayo Saka extended their advantage in the 28th minute, while Gabriel Jesus found the net in the 58th minute. With this victory, Arsenal secured the runners-up position in the English Premier League and will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, marking their return to the prestigious tournament after a six-year absence.

In summary, Jakub Kiwior’s debut goal for Arsenal not only contributed to their convincing win but also etched his name in Premier League history as the sixth Polish player to find the net in England’s top-flight competition.
