Jan Zielinski is following in the footsteps of Łukasz Kubot and Wojciech Fibak. At the age of 26, he and Hugo Nys made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open Men’s Doubles.
This is the biggest achievement in the career of the 26-year-old Pole. Zielinski has won two doubles titles and has gone the furthest in a Grand Slam tournament at last year’s US Open, making it to the quarter-finals with Nys.
In the 1/4 final, the duo defeated the French pair Benjamin Bonzi / Arthur Rinderknech 6:1, 6:4. They will fight for the final against the winners of the Jeremy Chardy / Fabrice Martin – Marcelo Arevalo / Jean-Julien Rojer clash.
