A year after the presidential election, Karol Nawrocki can count on more positive than negative ratings. However, the latest poll shows that opinions about the president remain highly divided.
According to a survey conducted by IBRiS for Polsat News, 48.1% of respondents overall assess Karol Nawrocki’s performance positively. Within this group, 24.9% chose “definitely good” and 23.2% “rather good.” A critical view of the president is held by 47.9% of those surveyed. The answer “rather bad” was selected by 23.4% of respondents, while “definitely bad” was indicated by 24.5%.
Only 4% of participants have no opinion on the head of state’s performance.
Seniors as the Strongest Base
The highest level of support for the president was recorded among the oldest respondents. In the group aged 70 and above, more than half assess his performance positively. The share of “definitely good” responses is particularly high, reaching 35.3%.
The results suggest that seniors are currently among the president’s most loyal supporters.
Rural Areas Rate Him Better Than Cities
The poll also reveals a clear geographic divide. Karol Nawrocki receives the best ratings from rural residents. In this group, positive assessments account for 58.5%, while negative ones stand at 38%.
Residents of large urban centers are far more skeptical. In cities with more than 250,000 inhabitants, nearly two-thirds of respondents rate the president’s performance negatively. Only one-third expressed a positive opinion.
A similar trend appears in smaller towns with up to 50,000 residents, where critical views also outweigh favorable ones.
One of the factors most strongly influencing the president’s evaluation is the level of education.
Among people with primary and vocational education, positive opinions dominate. In this group, 55.2% assess the head of state’s performance positively, while 42.4% rate it negatively.
The opposite proportions are observed among those with higher education. Here, negative assessments prevail, indicated by 60.3% of respondents, while 35.1% express a positive opinion of the president.
Women and Men Largely in Agreement
Unlike age, place of residence, or education, gender does not significantly affect the evaluation of Karol Nawrocki’s performance. Among men, positive ratings account for 48.7%, and negative ones 48.2%. Among women, the results are almost identical – 47.5% and 47.6%, respectively.
The survey therefore shows that divisions run primarily between different social groups and environments, rather than between women and men. The poll was conducted by the Institute for Market and Social Research (IBRiS) for Polsat News between May 29 and June 2, 2026, on a representative sample of 1,000 adult Poles. The study used computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI).
