Robert Bąkiewicz has announced that he prevailed in a court dispute with Konrad Dulkowski, who is affiliated with the Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior (OMZRiK). According to a statement posted on social media, the court found that Bąkiewicz had acted within the limits of the law and ordered the opposing party to cover the legal costs. The former president of the Independence March Association also referred to recent media reports concerning OMZRiK’s activities.
Bąkiewicz informed his followers that the court had ruled in his favor in the case against Konrad Dulkowski, who is associated with the Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior (OMZRiK).
“Not only did I WIN against him in court today, with the judge finding that I acted fully within the law, but also the media are starting to scrutinize him very closely,” Bąkiewicz wrote.
He added that the court concluded his actions had remained within the bounds of applicable law and ordered Konrad Dulkowski to bear the legal costs.
“Justice has prevailed, and Dulkowski has to pay!” he wrote.
The case is the latest chapter in a series of legal proceedings involving Robert Bąkiewicz and OMZRiK. Bąkiewicz had previously stated that he had been sued by the Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior.
OMZRiK was founded by Rafał Gaweł. As previously reported by the Polish news outlet WP, Gaweł was sentenced in a final judgment to two years’ imprisonment for fraud and obtaining property by deception. After leaving Poland for Norway, he was granted protection there, which prevented his surrender to the Polish authorities.
In recent days, OMZRiK has also been the subject of media reports raising questions about the organization’s operations and finances.
