Matt Schlapp for Niezalezna.pl: Brussels Controls Everything in Europe. That Needs to Change

“Change” has so far been a word reserved for the left, but in my opinion, it now defines the right. We need to change the direction of the current momentum, where Brussels controls everything in Europe. Right now, we are doing a good job weakening them,” said Matt Schlapp in an interview with the Niezalezna.pl portal.

The organizer of CPAC and Chairman of the American Conservative Union, when asked by Niezalezna.pl about his impressions of the first edition of the conference in Poland, emphasized at the outset that his day was filled with conversations with many people. He added that he loves coming to Poland.

“In my opinion, people in Poland face the same challenges as we (Americans) do — everything that matters to you is under attack. And it’s by people who hate the very foundations on which civilization is built. It’s unfortunate because these are often the same people who claim to be tolerant, yet they do not tolerate anyone with differing views,”

Schlapp emphasized.

“We, conservatives, are the most tolerant ones”

“At some point, it dawned on me that we — conservatives and traditionalists — are the most tolerant and understanding. We love other people, even if we don’t agree with them. The other side doesn’t treat us the same — they try to imprison people, lie about us, and even aim to destroy us and our families,”

Schlapp explained.

“Right now, enough people around the world, including in Poland, have stood up to stop this,” he added.

Asked about the expected outcomes of the conservative gathering in Poland, he noted that elections are approaching in our country. “We’ll see if it brings about change,” he said.

He stressed that as he visits more countries around the world, he sees a broad, growing movement of which CPAC is a part.

“New political parties are being formed, and many changes are underway — they take time, but a clear trend is emerging,”

he noted.

He added that while “trend and change” have so far been associated with leftist ideology:

“Change” has so far been a word reserved for the left, but in my opinion, it now defines the right. We need to change the direction of the current momentum, where Brussels controls everything in Europe. Right now, we are doing a good job weakening them,”

he concluded.
