In a recent statement, the spokesperson of the health ministry announced that the ongoing state of epidemic threat, resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, is set to conclude on July 1.
The state of threat was initially implemented on May 16, 2022, as a replacement for the previously declared state of epidemic emergency, which had been in effect since March 2020.
According to Wojciech Andrusiewicz, the decision to terminate the state of threat was prompted by a decline in both infection rates and fatalities. He emphasized that the Covid-19 virus no longer represents a significant menace, although he acknowledged the likelihood of future infection waves.
