    Monetary Policy Council Decides on Interest Rates

    The Monetary Policy Council (RPP) has decided to keep the National Bank of Poland (NBP) interest rates unchanged, as announced by the central bank.

    Following its Wednesday meeting, the RPP confirmed that the key interest rates would remain at their current levels. The NBP’s reference rate stays at 5.75%, the deposit rate at 5.25%, and the lombard rate at 6.25%. Additionally, the rediscount rate for bills of exchange is maintained at 5.8%, while the discount rate for bills of exchange continues at 5.85%.

    The last adjustment by the RPP occurred in October 2023, when interest rates were lowered by 0.25 percentage points.
