A Polish soldier from the 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade, named after General Józef Bem, tragically passed away while on duty. In an official statement, the military unit announced the incident, referring to it as a “tragic event,” though the details surrounding the soldier’s death remain undisclosed.
The statement expressed deep regret, noting, “With great sorrow, we inform you that today, while performing his duties, a soldier from the 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade passed away. The circumstances of the tragic event are being investigated by the Military Police under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.”
The lack of information regarding the exact circumstances of the soldier’s death has fueled speculation. The 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade, part of the Polish Rocket and Artillery Forces, was formed in 1993 in the Węgorzewo garrison.
