Nawrocki at the TV Republika Debate: What Donald Tusk’s Government Is Doing Today Is a Reversed Prussian Homage

“Today, before making any decision, the Prime Minister of the Polish state kneels before the Chancellor of Germany,” said Karol Nawrocki, presidential candidate, during a debate hosted by TV Republika. He continued: ” I do not want, in twenty years’ time, for the people living in Poland to be citizens of the European Union of Polish origin.”

The presidential candidates are engaging in verbal duels at the headquarters of TV Republika. The debate has proven to be particularly engaging. Although the candidate from the Civic Coalition was absent, there was significant discussion of both Rafał Trzaskowski and Donald Tusk.

“What Donald Tusk’s government is doing today is a reversed Prussian Homage,” stated Karol Nawrocki, the candidate supported by the Law and Justice (PiS) party.

“Once, a Hohenzollern knelt before the Polish king, and today, before every decision, the Prime Minister of the Polish state kneels before the Chancellor of Germany—whether the matter concerns foot-and-mouth disease, illegal migrants, or the regulation of Polish rivers. We cannot allow this,”

Nawrocki continued.

The candidate declared his intent to support a partnership-based relationship with Ukraine, as well as to support the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO), and he expressed opposition to centralizing initiatives within the European Union.

“I do not want, in twenty years’ time, for the people living in Poland to be citizens of the European Union of Polish origin,”

Nawrocki reiterated.
