Nawrocki Criticizes EU Migration Policy, Pledges to Withdraw from Pact if Elected

In a visit to the northeastern town of Sejny, Karol Nawrocki, an independent candidate for the Polish presidency, sharply criticized the European Union’s migration policies and underscored his commitment to protecting Poland’s national identity. During a meeting with the local Women’s Rural Circle (Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich), Nawrocki spoke at length about the importance of Polish tradition, cultural heritage, and community values.

“In our heritage lies the heart of who we are,” Nawrocki declared. “We are open and ready to cooperate with people of different backgrounds. However, we expect anyone stepping into our home to respect our values and identity. That is why I cannot support what is happening with the EU’s migration policy—especially when Germany’s past mistakes could compromise the safety of Polish women and children.”

Emphasizing the need for a strong Poland, Nawrocki vowed that, if elected president, he would “unilaterally withdraw from the migration pact,” citing the security of Polish citizens as his top priority. “Our tradition and culture are not obstacles to modernity,” he added. “They are the foundation upon which we will build a strong, prosperous nation.”

Meanwhile, Nawrocki also offered a pointed critique of other political figures in the country, suggesting that some publicly oppose political immunity while overlooking instances in which allies relied on it. Referencing controversial cases in the Polish Senate, he questioned, “How can one claim to stand against immunity when colleagues have themselves taken shelter behind it?”

With this strong stance on sovereignty, identity, and national security, Karol Nawrocki continues to position himself as a candidate who aims to balance Poland’s long-held traditions with the realities of a rapidly changing Europe. His campaign has garnered attention by blending patriotic sentiment with calls for pragmatic solutions to the challenges posed by EU migration policies.
