The Polish Ministry of National Defense inaugurated the new premises of the Polish Army Museum on Sunday, in the historic Warsaw Citadel. Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, highlighted the museum’s evolution since its establishment in 1920, previously functioning within borrowed spaces.
The ceremony marked a significant transition as the museum now operates in a purpose-built facility dedicated solely to its collections. Minister Błaszczak emphasized the museum’s accessible design, ensuring a comprehensive display of its exhibits. The Citadel’s historical significance adds another layer to the experience, having once housed military units.

The opening exhibit, covering more space than the museum’s previous location, underscores the expanded possibilities in the new site. The Minister expressed gratitude for the collaboration between the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, represented by Minister Piotr Gliński, who was also present.
This milestone not only reinvigorates Poland’s military history preservation but also opens a landmark destination for both locals and tourists alike.
